The role is part of a larger team that delivers high-quality computer, network, storage and end-user infrastructure technology solutions and ongoing support to the business. The team plans, researches, evaluates, designs and engineers the enterprise’s technology infrastructure while providing technical support, troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications and recommendations.
Working under limited supervision, the incumbent will perform infrastructure project assignments, coordinate and monitor work activities using approved applications and tools, and assist with planning, researching, evaluating, designing and developing systems across computer, network, storage, cloud and end-user domains. Collaboration with project managers, architects, solution engineers, technicians and business analysts is essential to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that follow AEP’s standards, architectures and best practices.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field and at least two years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must adhere to policies, procedures, standards, codes and regulations, and continuously expand their knowledge of infrastructure components to improve response efficiency.
The compensation grade for this role is SP20-006, with a salary range of $74,551.00 to $93,188.50. The physical demand level is sedentary, requiring occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds and primarily sitting with brief periods of walking or standing.
