Instrumentation Engineer - Water & Wastewater Group

Description

• Leading commissioning activities and troubleshooting systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
• Bringing forward innovations such as cloud-based SCADA, IoT, and predictive analytics to strengthen water management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations across all project work.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations.
• Guiding clients in selecting automation and instrumentation solutions that improve efficiency and reliability in treatment facilities.
• Developing instrumentation and control system designs, including P&IDs, layouts, and Process Control Narratives.
• Designing and supporting SCADA system architectures, PLC programming, and communication protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, CAD staff, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Prepare detailed engineering documents including reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Support construction and commissioning phases by reviewing submittals, testing systems, and assisting with startup.
• Develop proposals, cost estimates, and scopes of work to support business development.
• You elevate the Water & Wastewater Team by introducing modern automation and digital control solutions.

Requirements

• A degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering (or related).
• Project management or leadership experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly in the field.
• 5+ years of SCADA and instrumentation experience in water/wastewater facilities.
• Certifications in SCADA, PLCs, or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for control systems in critical infrastructure.
• Proven skills in PLC programming, SCADA platforms, and field instrumentation.
