Land Development - Engineering Associate

Description

The Engineering Associate is an entry‑level technical role on the professional Engineer license track, tasked with applying basic to intermediate engineering principles to produce design computations, technical reports, and design plans, and may make minor project decisions.

• Prepare and review design computations, plan designs, and drawings.
• Review submittals and coordinate project submissions.
• Prepare and review specifications, draft letters, and technical reports.
• Complete inspections and field work assignments as needed.
• Research, interpret, and apply regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements to designs.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of work and project records.
• Apply knowledge of applicable codes and standards to project designs.
• Develop technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.
• Support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors.
• Perform work within assigned budgets.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an ABET‑accredited engineering field; no prior work experience is required, though internships are preferred, and an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification is advantageous.

• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D for site layout, grading, utility, and storm water management design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exhibit excellent organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and work both independently and collaboratively.
