Description

The Resident Care Associate provides high‑quality care to a consistent group of residents and their families in assisted‑living and memory‑care neighborhoods, delivering hands‑on physical and emotional support according to each resident’s Personalized Service Plan while maintaining a safe, home‑like environment.

The role requires adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and Phoenix policies, ensuring wellness standards are met and resident rights are respected.

• Participate in developing and updating Personalized Service Plans; attend review meetings with families.
• Follow resident hydration schedules and complete meal attendance documentation, providing room service when needed.
• Check assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, continence issues, and condition changes.
• Perform all ADLs per each resident’s PSP and assist with activities as appropriate.
• Respond promptly to security system alerts and call bells, resetting them as required.
• Conduct cleanliness checks of resident rooms, laundry, common areas, and address hazards or chemical exposures.
• Maintain proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Ensure resident rights are known and upheld.
• Provide high‑risk room double‑checks and coordinate with housekeeping when necessary.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least a high‑school education, be 18 or older, and possess prior experience with elders or disabled individuals. Knowledge of assisted‑living, dementia care, or skilled nursing is preferred, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, is required.

Benefits

The Neighborhood at Cullman is hiring Resident Care Associates to join their team. Shifts are Monday‑Friday with weekends and holidays available to cover open shifts when full‑time staff are absent. The Resident Care Associate reports directly to the Wellness Director.
