Staff Surveyor

Description

• Assist with construction layout and document project areas through photography.
• Aid the survey team in collecting invert elevations and subsurface utility data.
• Support office operations including CAD drafting, data downloading, deed and map research, and document organization.
• Stay up to date with current surveying standards, practices, and innovations by participating in internal training and external educational opportunities.
• Perform boundary, topographic, and utility surveys.
• Propose new methods and ideas to enhance workflow efficiency and improve service quality.
• Locate and recover survey control points and monumentation.
• Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working primarily in the field across various project locations.
• Familiarity with survey instruments and data collection tools.
• Experience in surveying or a related field.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Dependable transportation for site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
