This position partners closely with plant leadership to design, develop, and deliver beginner fabrication training for new production workers. The incumbent will coach, mentor, and train the next generation of skilled fabricators, embodying the company’s commitment to developing American builders.
Daily duties involve frequent use of Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as operation of welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and other heavy equipment to support hands‑on training.
The role is an experienced, full‑time position based in Humble, TX (Humble‑Shop) with no travel required. It falls under the Skilled Labor – Trades category and reports to the Plant Leadership Team.
Candidates must have at least five years of structural steel fabrication experience—including welding, fitting, and machine operations—and two to three years of leadership experience. They must be able to present complex technical material clearly to non‑technical staff, demonstrate patience, strong oral communication, and active listening skills.
A high school diploma or GED is required along with a welding certification, blueprint‑reading proficiency, and OSHA certification. The role encourages participation in ongoing learning and development focused on curriculum design, training evaluation, and delivery methods.
