Risk Specialist

You will facilitate risk workshops, maintain risk and opportunity registers, and lead quantitative risk assessments (QRA) for cost and schedule. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and help shape a strong risk-aware culture across the delivery ecosystem.

We are seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join our team supporting major infrastructure projects. This role is critical in embedding best-practice risk management across all project phases, ensuring alignment with ISO 31000 and KBR’s governance standards.

• Establish and maintain project risk and opportunity registers aligned with ISO 31000 and internal frameworks.
• Partner with project managers and controls teams to integrate risk processes with cost and schedule reporting.
• Lead and coordinate QRAs and embed outputs into project forecasts.
• Support continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.
• Provide assurance on risk documentation quality and compliance.
• Facilitate structured risk workshops at key project stages.

Requirements

Risk Management Specialist – Major Project Controls

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for executive audiences.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, risk management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in risk and/or opportunity management within large-scale infrastructure programs.
• Experience in water or wastewater infrastructure programs (desirable).
• Strong analytical skills, including risk quantification and use of risk modelling tools.
