Maintain relationship with the management, project managers and technical staff within building science and other disciplines across sectors in the organization.
Manage building performance projects and act as the Technical Lead or Peer Reviewer for new and existing buildings including building condition assessments, performance audits, reserve fund studies, energy audits, and building commissioning with the support of the required technical staff members and specialists.
Provide support for restoration and new construction projects.
Mentor and train team members in conducting technical delivery of projects.
Staff management tasks including hiring new staff, team building, professional development, and performance evaluations.
Business development tasks including strategic growth initiatives, marketing of services and liaison with clients, building strong client relationships, and generating new business.
Pursuit of new opportunities, proposal preparation including development of scope of services and pricing and follow-up of award of projects with the Client.
Project management tasks include project set-up and team assignment, project schedule and budget management, project delivery, invoicing and collections.

Knowledge of the NECB and energy standards is an asset.
Experience in building envelope condition assessments, preparation of rehabilitation specifications and drawings, tendering process and contract administration and construction review services during construction is an asset.

University degree in a related field of study such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Building Science.
Ability to work effectively in a high demand and fast-paced environment.
P. Eng. designation is a requirement.

Experience in building condition assessments, reserve fund studies and performance audits is a requirement.
Experience in residential, commercial and institutional sectors is required.
10-15 years of technical experience in building science with proven ability to manage projects and facilitate business development.
Knowledge of standards and guidelines related to building performance projects is a requirement.
Knowledge of various site features, architecture, and building envelope systems and assemblies.
Staff management experience.
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required for site visits.
