Senior Engineer - A

Description

• Provide technical input and review of documents related to CD-3A D&R, Coatings Removal, and Temp HVAC
• Host or aid walkdowns of building 226-F
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements of assigned work
• Define scope of technical programs and develop effective and efficient solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Routinely use systems and meet all requirements with little supervisory guidance.
• Provide technical input and review of documents related to CD-3C Concrete Removal
• Write, review, and provide revisions to CD-3A scopes and inspection and testing plans
• Provide technical input into the disposition of government property for CD-3A D&R
• Aide in the development of CD-3X packages
• Communicate results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues and management.
• Provide technical input and review of CD-2/3 Coatings
• Aide in the development, presentation, and best value/LPTA technical proposal reviews for assigned scopes (CD-3A, CD-3C)
• Plan technical effort and coordinate activities with those of other divisions,
• Generate plan and requirements documents for CD-3A and CD-3C scopes

Requirements

• Ability to sit/ stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day.
• Requires a comprehensive understanding of site work control procedures, work practices, radiological control, quality assurance, configuration management, material control, and procedures for maintenance and operations-related areas
• Previous SRS or DOE facility experience (preferred)
• Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred
• Demonstrate cost and schedule consciousness through timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.
• Understanding and interpreting various electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics is required
• A working knowledge of DOE, federal and state regulations, and existing engineering and quality assurance standards and procedures is required
• Design experience (within the last 10 years) in the nuclear or chemical process industry Previous SRS Design Authority Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred
