Monitor competitive activity in the region
Lead sales performance across Western Canada
Coach, mentor, and develop a regional sales team, adding additional Reps in high potential markets and segments as appropriate
Develop market specific sales, product, and marketing plans
Attend industry and promotional events to support customer engagement
Work with internal teams to support shared commercial goals
Support Territory Managers through field visits, customer meetings, pipeline development planning, and ongoing guidance
Build business cases for additional hires, regional expansion, and other commercial initiatives
Review data to identify trends and customer opportunities
Improve sales processes including pricing, quoting, and inventory coordination
Deliver training on sales techniques and product knowledge to the team
Set and achieve sales targets to drive revenue growth

This role requires a leader with seven or more years of proven experience leading an outside sales team, with at least five of those years in the building materials or LBM industry.
Flexible to travel as required - circa. 25% to support the regional team, and attend head office meetings.

Strong problem solving, commercial acumen, and coaching skills
Financial acumen to accurately budget, forecast, and report to leadership
