- Skilled in investigations, monitoring, inspections, and enforcement.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Resource Management, Law, Health Science, or equivalent experience.
- NZ Certificate/Diploma in Regulatory Compliance (Levels 4–6) is desirable but not essential.
- Customer-focused with a collaborative mindset with proven ability to lead and mentor staff.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise, work independently, and maintain professionalism.
- Te Reo Māori language classes
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in compliance, monitoring, enforcement, or regulatory work.
- Ka Awatea Cultural Wānanga + NCC Kapa Haka
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (Resource Management Act, Local Government Act, Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act, Council Bylaws, etc.).
