What you would be doing

Create alignments and corridors as per client supplied IFC drawings.
May include processing of remotely sensed data (3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, lidar data)
Ensure that you remain up to date on current and upcoming technologies.
Work with team members to ensure that the quality and accuracy of all plans meet standards before they are delivered for checking.
Perform calculations including traverses and plan closures based on the legal survey plans.
Perform network adjustment on survey data for higher-order control networks.
Survey calculation for engineering layout such as piles, anchor bolts, foundation, grading based on client supplied IFC drawings.
Process and interpret survey data.
Review survey field returns for completeness and correct procedures.
Support field crews performing engineering layout surveys.
Prepare stakeout, pre-pour, and as-built reports per scope of work.
Use standard survey practices and information gathered from the field and office to draft survey plans.
Generate topographic surfaces and perform volume calculations from processed data.

Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
Proficient in survey processing software Trimble Business Centre (TBC)
Post-secondary education in a Survey/Geomatics, Civil Engineering program, or related discipline; or certification in a related CAD/GIS course
Proficient with Civil 3D and/or Autocad
Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction survey experience ( slope staking, utilities staking, earthworks quantity takeoff, road building etc)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good Analytic skills and attention to detail
An understanding of the basic principles of surveying, survey plan requirements, and construction surveying deliverables
