Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas plus eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Driver's license
Knowledge of CAD software, grounding and shielding software, and other substation engineering design related tools.
Strong knowledge of IEEE, NESC and RUS electrical substation standards.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to strictly adhere to project deadlines.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in substation electrical design.
A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience working on large-scale, high-impact substation projects including site selection, substation configuration, permitting and regulatory, bus design, grounding and ground grid design, lightning and shielding protection, major substation equipment, expansion and upgrade of existing substations.
A track record of successfully implementing innovative engineering solutions.
