Servers are expected to serve guests efficiently and courteously, following proper service steps and setting up tables with necessary items. They must maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of menu ingredients and preparation, quickly bus tables, and upsell menu items and wine pairings. Responsibilities include ensuring tables are correctly set, participating in daily dining‑room cleaning, attending departmental meetings, and following cash‑handling procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

The Server position is based at Innovation Hotel in Naples, Florida, reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager and related supervisors. This non‑exempt role focuses on delivering a high‑standard dining experience, greeting guests and serving them professionally in line with Innovation’s service standards. The hotel maintains a drug‑free workplace and requires pre‑employment background and drug screening.
Candidates must hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent and have prior hospitality experience, preferably as a server. Strong customer service, verbal and written communication, and the ability to use technology such as tablets, iPads, computers, and POS systems are essential. Knowledge of beverages, including wine and liquor, teamwork skills, and the capability to describe menu items clearly are also required. A sense of ownership, organized work habits, and the ability to maintain a clean station complete the desired profile.
The role demands the ability to sit or stand for long periods, bend, and lift or pull up to 50 lb, while communicating clearly and working long hours when required. Employees must make rapid sound judgments, manage multiple tasks, work independently or provide direction, and handle high‑pressure, stressful situations with confidentiality. Managing differing personalities and anticipating workplace challenges are also part of the job.
