The engineer will act as the Government’s main point of contact, oversee contract scope, schedule, budget, and quality control, and manage sub‑consultants and on‑site project teams. Additional duties include site setup, supervision of inspectors, stakeholder communication, and preparation of technical reports and cost estimates.
- Serve as the Government’s primary point of contact and client manager for contract and task order management.

- Appoint, assemble, and lead on‑site project teams, including inspectors and support personnel.

- Communicate with partner agencies, the public, landowners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and adapt project work plans to align with shifting priorities and requirements.
- Administer construction contractor work and assign inspectors to ensure adequate oversight.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identify milestones, and track progress.
- Analyze critical path method and bar‑chart schedules for construction contractors.
- Prepare technical engineering reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Measure and document daily work, maintaining accurate project records per guidelines.
- Coordinate and participate in program/project meetings and reviews.
- Prepare or direct the preparation of reports, construction schedules, and design plans.
- Assist in accurate cost estimating and quotations to ensure project profitability.
- Monitor project hours against budgeted hours and track performance to achieve short‑ and long‑term goals.
- Apply specifications for road and bridge construction and oversee environmental mitigation efforts.
- Maintain high attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with procedures and safety regulations.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and a Professional Engineer license in at least one state.
