Description

• Keep storage areas and carts well stocked, clean, and orderly. Complete all required forms and work orders. Routinely inspect common areas to ensure they are kept clean and in an aesthetically pleasing condition.
• Observe necessary precautions to protect residents, guests, and property, and report damage, theft, and found items to supervisors.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working order.
• Properly use new equipment and follow safety procedures before using this equipment.
• Report all maintenance items including but not limited to burned out lights, leaks, broken equipment to the Building Maintenance Department.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to react to and address all emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk and climb stairs, climb ladders, crawl in small, tight spaces; bend and/or kneel; lift and/or move and/or carry up to 20 pounds or more in the work environment.
• Position requires exposure to outside weather and conditions. Moderate noise level.
• Ability to manipulate, touch, grasp, and feel objects and equipment. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as needed, fulfilling the functions of the job. Ability to repeat various movements with wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Minimum One (1) year of working in grounds maintenance or janitorial work.
• Ability to work with and around chemical solutions
