Plumbing Supervisor

Description

You will oversee all mechanical elements on site — including plumbing systems, heat pumps, ventilation, sanitary services, and utilities tie-ins — while ensuring the project meets strict safety, quality, and programme requirements.

Suited to someone who has progressed from a trade background, this role involves supervising mechanical works, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the successful delivery of building services to the highest standards.

• Ensure timely availability of labour, equipment, and materials
• Review drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams
• Manage installation and commissioning of: Air-to-water heat pumps
• Ensure all works meet regulatory and manufacturer standards
• Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations and project H&S plans
• Perform inspections, snagging and installation quality checks
• Plan, allocate and track work to meet programme milestones
• Support and mentor junior site personnel
• Lead daily site activities and manage mechanical subcontractors
• Attend site meetings and report on mechanical progress
• Maintain RAMS, permits, documentation, and safety records

Requirements

Candidates must have valid working rights in Ireland (Visa or EU/Irish citizenship).

Our client is hiring an experienced Project Manager with a strong mechanical and plumbing background to lead a major commercial development in Cavan.

• Experience supervising mechanical works in commercial/residential builds
• Strong organisation and workload-coordination skills
• Strong mechanical background, ideally in plumbing, HVAC, or air-to-water systems
• Excellent understanding of commissioning procedures and safety standards
• 3–5+ years in a Foreman, Supervisor, or Project Management role
• Full driving license (Company vehicle included)
• Trade qualification or degree in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar
