

Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will manage the planning process across a portfolio of 30+ renewable energy projects. This role involves overseeing multidisciplinary consultant teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality EIAs and planning applications. You’ll work closely with internal teams, local authorities, and external specialists to progress projects efficiently, compliantly, and strategically.
Support early-stage projects with planning and environmental strategy input
Lead and manage EIA and ER planning applications, ensuring high-quality documentation
Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery of planning outputs
Coordinate specialist consultants across ecology, engineering, hydrology, geology, archaeology, noise, and landscape/visual
Manage EIA budgets and evaluate consultant proposals
Ability to work independently and remotely
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Comprehensive knowledge of Irish planning law, environmental policy, and procedures

Full driving licence and willingness to visit sites occasionally
Approximately 6-8 years’+ planning experience (renewables experience highly advantageous)
Background in development or local authority planning preferred
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities
Minimum Level 7 degree in Planning, Town Planning, or a related discipline
Excellent analytical, reporting, and record-keeping skills
Strong experience reviewing EIAs and planning applications
