Promote career development within the group.
Review weekly structural progress and expenditure reports on a project specific basis.
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Manage structural discipline man hour estimates to perform project tasks.
Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements.
Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
Check compliance with Alliance QA/safety/environment goals.
Forecast requirement for structural engineering resources and allocate those resources.
Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
Identify structural software necessary to enable structural group to function effectively.
Structural group communication development.
Supervision of structural engineers.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.

Technical competence of structural personnel.
Focus on Modularization. Familiarity with international codes and standards are essential. Hands on experience of structural design software’s and foundation design software’s including dynamic analysis (Staad Pro., FDN 3D, Mat 3D, RCDC, IDEA Statica, RAM Connection).
The role mandates previous experience in design of onshore plant facilities involving structural steel and concrete structures.
A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in the areas of design of pipe rack, technological structures, platforms, equipment supports, pipe supports, equipment platforms, civil facilities (roads, paving, drain networks) is essential.
Applicants require experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi discipline project team.
