The Equipment General Foreman supervises multiple union employees who perform maintenance services and fault repair on a wide variety of tactical and non‑tactical equipment, ensuring that work meets contractual performance standards.
The position requires planning and coordinating workload, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and coaching team members to achieve key performance indicators and quality goals while establishing organizational structures and processes needed for service execution.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute workload to meet contractual obligations per the performance work statement.
- Set priorities, monitor performance, coach, mentor, and train team members to achieve KPIs and quality goals.
- Create organizational structures and processes necessary for full service execution.
- Ensure completion of maintenance, quality, and HSE requirements within the assigned area.
- Evaluate service execution for compliance with contract, schedule, cost, and quality; advise production control of status, issues, risks, and cost influences.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with AR 750-1 and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain short‑range look‑ahead plans and discuss deviations with the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.
- Review and monitor cost and man‑hour utilization; develop equipment and tools requirement plan.
- Supervise union employees daily, conduct performance counseling, recommend discipline/termination, and participate in selection/retention processes.
- Complete roll calls and maintain personnel accountability while adhering to PPE and lifting requirements.
- Work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in extreme temperatures, low humidity, blowing sand, and dust.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders, able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI, possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid State Real ID, and a driver’s license, and be physically capable of lifting up to 80 lb and working in extreme desert conditions.
Preferred qualifications include 3–5 years of experience in tactical vehicle maintenance as a lead or foreman and familiarity with the GCSS‑Army system.
- U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder with at least three years of U.S. residence; pass background investigation and obtain NACI.
- Valid State Real ID, high school diploma or GED, and valid driver’s license.
- 3–5 years tactical vehicle maintenance experience as a lead or foreman (preferred).
- Experience with GCSS‑Army (preferred).
