The role focuses on engineering activities that support the manufacturing process, impacting departmental operations through planning and execution. While the position offers some autonomy, work is performed within established functional practices and procedures, with guidance provided for judgment calls.
Key responsibilities include defining and controlling production processes, tooling, and equipment, as well as validating design specifications and the shop‑floor application of new products, tools, or equipment. The incumbent will develop deep technical knowledge in a specific discipline, apply policy and strategy, and understand how their work integrates with other teams. They are expected to use judgment to propose alternative solutions and leverage internal resources to solve straightforward tasks.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3‑4 years of manufacturing engineering or machining experience, or a High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience. Desired traits include strong oral and written communication, proven problem‑analysis and resolution abilities, and demonstrated project‑management skills. The role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information and the ability to obtain the necessary authorization.

The salary range for this position is $81,700 to $136,700, with geographic differentials of 110‑130% and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
