- Maintain organized and up-to-date email communications, file structures, and drawings, ensuring easy access and efficient retrieval of information.
- Develop creative and effective solutions that add value and enhance product application techniques to design solutions.
- Use the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) methodology to provide tools to help individuals and teams achieve goals, growth, and improvement.
- Balance workload capacity, considering project complexity and size to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare information for labor quotes with guidance.
- Ensure accuracy by assisting with spec checks and cross-verifying work with team members to maintain high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with AV, plumbing, data, and electrical vendors to ensure seamless integration with furniture layouts, with oversight from the team.
- Convey ideas effectively through well-crafted detailed drawings, and comprehensive spec books, presenting them in a thoughtful manner.
- Support preparation and facilitation of design meetings with industry partners and end users.
- Assist with furniture needs analyses to define requirements for implementing designs.
- Prepare for and participates in site visits and field verifications to ensure accurate on-site assessments.
- Generate custom products/specials, COM testing, shop, and submittal drawings.
- Create installation drawing packages with direction.
- Create final furniture specifications (specs) and pricing.
- Quarterly All Company Meetings
- Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced designers while supporting their professional growth.

- Willingness to pursue relevant industry certifications as needed.
- Product knowledge and application, including experience with Herman Miller and Knoll products.
- Basic understanding of architectural field conditions and how the building system interfaces with furniture.
- Ability to travel locally to job sites for on-site assessments and in-person customer meetings
- Furniture dealership experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.
- Experience presenting, preferably alongside salespeople or designers
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, CET, CAP, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and commercial furniture industry software; willingness to learn new systems.
- 0-3 years of industry experience.
- Demonstrate initiative in self-guided learning to continuously enhance product and industry knowledge.
- Customer experience
- Confidence and independence in progressing through the design process with guidance and support.
- Knowledge of interior commercial construction, architecture, design, real estate, and contract furnishings.
- Ability to use your talents and strengths to make a positive impact
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills in translating design concepts into accurate drawings and specifications with a willingness to develop further.
