Water Mitigation Technician

Description

Key responsibilities include inspecting and documenting water damage, setting up appropriate drying equipment, and removing unsalvageable materials. The employee must explain the situation to clients, outline immediate actions taken, and advise on next steps.

• Complete daily reports
• Assess property damage
• Set up drying equipment, move/rearrange contents, take moisture readings, and monitor drying process
• Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and other safety certifications

Requirements

The role seeks individuals with labor or demolition experience who are reliable, self‑motivated, and possess strong customer‑service skills. Candidates will participate in an on‑call rotation, may need to work overtime to complete jobs, and will receive training if selected.

• Obtain WRT certification within 6 months (training and expense covered)
• Lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
• Basic construction experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Pass a background check
• Basic math skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Communicate effectively with clients, residents, and colleagues
• Demonstrate strong tool use and basic demolition skills
• Perform basic demolition tasks
• Work independently or in a team; self‑starter with minimal supervision
• Apply common sense and motivate quick, quality task completion
• Continued education in relevant fields
