Step into a leadership role where you’ll drive some of the most innovative offsite modular projects in the industry. As a Project Manager with RK Mission Critical, you will oversee the full lifecycle of complex, high‑visibility projects—from commercial turnover through completion and warranty. This position offers the opportunity to shape project strategy, guide multidisciplinary teams, and collaborate closely with customers, architects, engineers, and internal partners.
The Project Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate activities for designated RKMC projects, managing the process from commercial turnover to completion, including warranty management for offsite modular products. Responsibilities include budgeting, cost control, subcontracting, engineering management, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, documentation, billing, change orders, labor productivity, and project closeout.
- Lead assigned projects by collaborating with customers, architects, and engineers, and develop detailed job, labor, and material descriptions for offsite modular solutions.
- Own overall financial performance, including cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and billing for all assigned projects.
- Manage and supervise day‑to‑day operations of multidisciplinary teams, coordinating closely with manufacturing and engineering departments.
- Oversee project administration and documentation to prevent back charges, claims, and protect RKMC and customer interests.
- Schedule and coordinate project phases, budgeting time to meet deadlines and ensuring logical workflow.
- Negotiate, revise, and enforce contract agreements with all parties, securing timely execution.
- Initiate, monitor, and update comprehensive project schedules throughout the lifecycle.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with Purchasing, focusing on buyout plans that meet schedule and budget targets.
- Negotiate, prepare, process, and execute subcontract agreements in alignment with project needs.
- Manage submittal review, processing, approvals, and maintain accurate submittal logs.
- Obtain and post required permits and licenses for project compliance.
- Prepare and submit monthly contract valuations accurately and on schedule.
- Review, approve, and process invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, managers, designers, supervisors, and tradespersons.
- Develop, submit, and obtain approval of billing while maintaining an over‑billed cash position.
- Proactively collect payments, progress billing, and retention receivables before due dates.
- Price, negotiate, and process change orders prior to work commencement.
- Participate in monthly project management meetings prepared to discuss assigned projects.
- Perform balancing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, bending, leaning, walking, and climbing motions as required.
- Use personal protective equipment as needed and operate near moving mechanical parts in heat or cold conditions.
- Comply with company safety policies; stop work if unsafe conditions are present and report hazards promptly.

- Ability to define program objectives, organize projects, and develop standards and guidelines.
- College degree or equivalent experience, typically 10+ years with fiscal responsibility.
- Advanced technical expertise applied to a broad variety of assignments.
- Independent decision‑making authority on complex matters and effective liaison across internal and external groups.
- Work primarily indoors in dusty and noisy environments; stand for long periods; lift and carry 31–75 lb occasionally or frequently.
