Line Marking Operative

Description

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to specification.
• Operate, maintain and clean line-marking equipment, burners and associated tools to a high standard.
• Work flexibly across day, night and weekend shifts where required, maintaining strict Health & Safety protocols.
• Audit completed works to ensure they meet our rigorous quality standards, reducing the need for call-backs.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and professional working environment, representing Top Mark Solutions positively at all times.
• Complete all job sheets, photographs and site information via our digital BigChange platform.
• Work in line with Top Mark Solutions’ specifications and quality expectations to deliver precise, long-lasting finishes.
• Manage your allocated workload and communicate professionally with clients, Project Managers and Site Managers.
• Apply thermoplastic and MMA resin markings to highways, car parks, EV charging bays, warehouses, playgrounds and other commercial premises.
• Safely handle LPG-fuelled equipment and materials, following PUWER 1998, COSHH and approved RAMS.

Requirements

Following recent major project awards and sustained growth across our UK-wide client base, we are expanding our operational team and looking to recruit a skilled Line Marking Operative to join us in early 2025.

Location: Warrington (Frequent UK-wide travel required)

• Experience in car park, highway, warehouse or playground layouts.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior operatives/apprentices.
• Familiarity with digital job-management platforms such as BigChange.
• Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience in thermoplastic line marking (applications without this experience cannot be considered).
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce clean, accurate layouts.
• Practical knowledge of MMA or other road-resin systems.
• Willingness to work nationwide, including frequent overnight stays as required.
• Recognised line marking qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent).
• Take ownership of tasks and demonstrate proactive decision-making to keep projects progressing efficiently.
• CSCS card or equivalent H&S accreditation.
