Superintendent (Foundations)

Description

As a Superintendent, you will leverage innovation and problem‑solving skills to lead field operations and deliver exceptional projects to clients. You will oversee both self‑performed and contracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents, schedules, and a culture of safety and quality. The role demands accountability for project performance while representing the company professionally.

In this position you will manage the timely and high‑quality installation of work across whole projects or specific scopes, and you will develop and execute sequencing plans, jobsite logistics, and material‑personnel tracking. You will maintain and communicate the project schedule, monitor critical milestones, and lead a high‑performing team through mentorship and development. Strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and other stakeholders will be cultivated to support seamless project delivery.

• Oversee timely, high-quality installation of contracted work across entire projects or specific scopes.
• Implement and enforce a culture of safety and quality, conducting regular inspections.
• Develop and manage work sequencing, jobsite logistics, material and personnel tracking.
• Maintain project schedule, monitor critical milestones, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-functioning crew.
• Foster strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, company policies, and government regulations.
• Participate in cost tracking, staff charts, general conditions, and KPI monitoring.
• Drive close-out activities, including punch‑list resolution and building operations training.
• Resolve on‑site obstacles through advanced problem‑solving and conflict management.
• Build industry networks to generate new work and recruit top talent.
• Maintain working knowledge of OSHA and applicable safety and building regulations.

Requirements

Successful candidates will hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or possess equivalent experience, accompanied by at least seven years on large‑scale commercial construction projects such as high‑rise residential or mixed‑use developments. They will have a minimum of two years’ experience leading and motivating construction teams, deep knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, contract administration, and a solid understanding of OSHA and related safety regulations. Effective communication across diverse audiences and advanced problem‑solving abilities are essential.

Familiarity with construction management software platforms—including Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6—is preferred. Alignment with Clark’s Standards of Excellence, such as being self‑motivated, results‑oriented, adaptable, and ethical, is expected.

• Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Possess 7+ years of experience on large‑scale commercial construction projects, including high‑rise residential, mixed‑use, or higher‑education buildings.
• Have at least 2 years of experience leading, developing, and motivating construction teams.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel management.
• Exhibit proven ability to lead field operations and communicate plans across diverse audiences.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.
