Senior Structural Engineer - Dams

Description

As part of AECOM’s industry‑leading Dams team, you will work on some of Australia’s most critical water infrastructure projects, contributing to feasibility studies, design, construction and asset management while collaborating with specialists nationally and internationally and mentoring the next generation of engineers. The role can be based in any of AECOM’s Australian offices, including Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Perth or Melbourne.

• Perform structural analysis and review of concrete dams, spillways and related structures.
• Develop conceptual to detailed designs for dams and their structural components.
• Inspect, investigate and assess the condition of existing dams.
• Provide construction support, including site inspections, QC/QA data evaluation and reporting.
• Prepare tenders, proposals and offer mentorship to junior staff.
• Build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and local industry partners.

Requirements

• Demonstrated capability in structural design with preparation of reports, drawings and specifications, preferably in the dam industry.
• Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline (essential).
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and a positive, innovative mindset.
