Tasks

-Works under general supervision, receiving assignments in the form of work orders, inspection reports, or verbal instructions. -Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety -Assist in laying roofing material to repair, maintain, and install roofs and accessories. -Stays busy doing any work that will assist the Foreman and Roofers -Work in various types of weather conditions -Follows direction of more experienced roofers. -Observes all safety rules, including proper usage of PPE.

-18 years of age or older -Initiative, Integrity, and Adaptability -Authorized to work in the United States -Sound judgment -Ability to communicate well with supervisor and co-workers -Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to squat, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, climb ladder, bend, kneel, type, and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus -Able to learn on the job -Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control -Begin to learn tasks associated with roofing systems, including shingles, PVC, TPO, EPDM, MOD BIT, BUR etc. -Able to pass pre employment background check and drug screen -Begins to see next steps in roofing systems, learning tasks associated with specific roofing systems. -Able to apply trade knowledge procedures and practices as applicable
