As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with your line manager to assist in the commercial administration, reporting and performance on a single large project or several smaller schemes.

  • Assist in the production and issue of commercial notices, to both the Client and Subcontractors, as required by the form of contract and the law
  • Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records
  • Assist in the management of change in accordance with the form of contract, including the production and submission of Compensation Event Quotations and the maintenance of detailed schedules of value
  • Collate and calculate information required to assist the Commercial team in the production and maintenance of a detailed ‘cost to complete’ including schedules of Subcontractor ‘liabilities’
  • Produce Subcontract documentation
  • Be involved in the procurement of Subcontract partners including preparation of bid enquiry documentation and critical evaluation of bids
  • Provide information to the Commercial team to assist in the production of monthly payment applications to the Client
  • Interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems

Step 3: The final stage of our interview process is a virtual assessment centre made up of an individual interview, dynamic group tasks and a meet the team session to answer any questions you may have about the role or team you would be joining.

Our development programme lasts for two years and runs in parallel to your permanent job, covering 7 modules designed to bring out your interpersonal and leadership skills, and complement the hands-on technical experience that you will gain in your role.

As part of the graduate programme you will be expected to work in and around the location advertised, with the possibility for expanding travel to other projects and locations in the future. This may include staying away from home.
