Tasks

-Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver projects on time and to specification. -Lead the preparation of detailed systems drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts. -Deliver technical excellence and create efficient, innovative solutions -Apply established engineering principles and standards in the design and preparation of drawings. -Help create your Individual Development Plan and create significant opportunities for your professional development -Build an enviable reputation and the trust of employees, clients and other stakeholders -Support BIM implementation initiatives with minimal disruption to active project deliverables. -Support digital goals and objectives across the project in line with the CAD Management Plan and the DEMP.

What You Bring

-Must Possess advanced proficiency in AutoCAD. Familiarity with MicroStation is considered advantageous and will be viewed favourably. -Familiarity with technical discipline standards including ISO19650 standards is preferred. -Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally. -Extensive experience of design and constructability principles for MEI systems. -Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders -As part of the recruitment process, there are several checks which may be conducted to demonstrate an applicant’s suitability for a role including police / criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks. It’s good to know that UGL does not discriminate based on a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check. -5+ years’ experience in detail modelling and drafting, coordination, documentation with a solid technical understanding of relevant disciplines for Major Projects, Transport, or Infrastructure projects. -High level of experience of design principals and drafting standards in a similar industry. -Ability to provide a safe, supportive and positive workplace -Intermediate skills using various DE authoring software (such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, etc) and other interfacing software packages preferred (such as Automation Python C# Dynamo, MS Tools, Primavera P6, etc).
