  • Actively participate in meetings, presentations, and technical discussions, representing the engineering team and providing expert insights and recommendations.

  • Collaborate with Project Delivery (Project Management and Project administrative services) team to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements and overall business objectives during the planning and execution phases.
  • Engage in effective communication, providing regular engineering updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations to foster strong client relationships.
  • Ensure internal and external effort estimates, schedule, deliverables and obligations associated with the scope of work are fully understood, identified, adhered to and monitored.
  • Prepare and submit project monthly reporting to the Engineering Management Director responsible for a Market or Portfolio Leads.
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality assessments of engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications, and quality standards in addition to promoting a Value Engineering culture throughout the project life cycle. Understand in-scope deliverables and manage change.

  • Strong technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, with a deep understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.

  • A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across provinces as a registered professional engineer in Canada and eligible to obtain relevant professional designation in multiple jurisdictions across Canada.
  • Experience with working in highly regulated environments, including municipal, provincial, and federal authorities. Understands the importance of safety, compliance, and stakeholder coordination in public infrastructure projects.
  • Has a familiarity with civil and systems engineering with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in transportation projects within rail & transit / light rail transit infrastructure design. Has at least 5 years in engineering management, leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams across planning, design, and delivery phases.
