Tear down, clean, inspect and make necessary repairs, replace or recondition components and worn parts on EPG, Industrial and Marine engines.
Required to promote and adhere to strict safety standards and maintain company assets in good condition.
Order parts as required by using Caterpillar parts ordering systems (SIS), effectively communicate repairs/issues with customers, end-users and other team members, meet administrative requirements to complete paperwork, including service reports, input of hours timely and accurately.
Troubleshoot and repair standby, prime and paralleling power systems.
With minimum supervision plan and organize jobs, control costs associated with repairs by following manufacture and company procedures.
This is a key role in our company in which our technicians are responsible for diagnosing and performing all repairs and installations in the field for electric power generators and the associated diesel and gas engines.
Commission new generator, ATS, and/or switchgear installations.

In this position, you will need to supply your own tools, have a TWIC card or the ability to obtain one.
Travel throughout the state of Alaska is regularly required.
Diesel technology degree or equivalent hands on experience, 3+ years previous Caterpillar engine/generator experience, switchgear and EPG control panel wiring experience.
You must have and maintain a valid state driver license as well as have a United States Passport.
