The role seeks candidates with 2‑3 years’ experience, though all experience levels are welcome, to develop scopes, cost estimates, and feed packages for instrument and electrical projects in petrochemical facilities. The incumbent will work on both electrical and instrumentation projects, supporting the E/I Maintenance group with assessments, implementations, and project management.
Key duties include conducting failure analyses, updating equipment specifications, creating logic diagrams and schematics, interpreting event reports to determine root causes, and reviewing design and installation specifications for capital projects. The position also involves leading reliability/PSM initiatives, developing predictive and preventative maintenance procedures, maintaining process safety information, and providing technical assistance to maintenance technicians.
Candidates should have at least three years of E&I experience in chemical manufacturing, familiarity with the 14 elements of Process Safety Management, and strong knowledge of electrical theory, instrumentation, and analytical technologies. Required skills include leadership, communication, analytical troubleshooting, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the physical ability to work in varied environments, including heights, over water, and in all weather conditions. An Electrical Engineering degree is required, and compensation ranges from $55 to $70 per hour.
