Business Systems Manager, ERP

Description

• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for business process re-engineering.
• Serve as the single point of accountability and expertise for all ERP-supported business processes at Mircom.
• Lead cross-departmental workshops to capture and analyze business needs, pain points, and future requirements.
• Translate organizational strategy and department-level initiatives into scalable, system-enabled business processes.
• Define, document, and maintain “best practice” business processes, standard operating procedures, and ERP configurations.
• Ensure all technical changes support and enhance overall business process objectives.
• Manage 3rd party vendor relationships for ERP support, handling ticket escalation, coordination, and vendor accountability.
• Act as executive escalation point for unresolved ERP issues, ensuring business continuity and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Ensure comprehensive integration and alignment between business strategies, operational workflows, and the ERP platform across all departments (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Service, etc.)
• Own the change governance process, including impact analysis, documentation, approvals, and compliance tracking.
• Serve as the bridge between business operations and IT, translating business needs into clear technical requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, solution architects, and 3rd parties on system integrations, upgrades, and ERP-related initiatives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and continual optimization of end-to-end business processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Drive process harmonization, consistency, and data integrity throughout the company.
• Ensure that process changes, enhancements, and new features are well planned, communicated, and adopted with minimal business disruption.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of business systems analysts dedicated to ERP process oversight.
• Assign projects, set priorities, and provide ongoing coaching to ensure exceptional team performance and growth.
• Analyze support trends, business KPIs, and user feedback for actionable insights.
• Measure and ensure the delivery of meaningful business value from all ERP-related projects and enhancements.
• Oversee implementation and tracking of approved process and system improvements.

Requirements

• Proven ability to drive change, foster alignment, and deliver business results in a matrixed environment.
• Project management or business process certification is an asset.
• Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities..
• Mastery of business process mapping, process reengineering, and ERP workflow design.
• Experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships (ERP support, integration partners, etc.)
• Exceptional leadership and team development skills; able to motivate, mentor, and build high-performing teams
• Comfortable leading and influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, or field services industries preferred.
• Track record of successful ERP project delivery and business process transformation.
• Outstanding communication, facilitation, and documentation skills; able to convey complex concepts with clarit.
• 2+ years leading business/system analyst teams within a process-driven, cross-functional environment.
• 5+ years’ experience managing ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365) with direct responsibility for process optimization and alignmen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science or a related field.
• Vendor management and negotiation expertise.
• Demonstrated experience governing enterprise business processes and overseeing process change at an organizational level.
