The role is responsible for implementing test automation strategies using HiL, PiL, and MiL across Electrical and Industrial segments, focusing on system validation automation, new product development, test coverage, compliance, and industry standards. The incumbent will contribute to software and communication protocol validation, ensuring product quality and robustness, and will design test procedures, automation scripts, and software tools. They will execute tests, document results, manage defect lifecycles, and provide expert issue resolution while monitoring integration work. Additionally, they will train, develop, and motivate subordinates, reviewing their accomplishments and fostering professional growth.
A bachelor's degree in Electronics, Automotive, or Computer Science and 6‑8 years of experience in model‑based development/validation in the automotive domain are required. Candidates must have hands‑on experience setting up HIL test systems with National Instruments hardware and software toolchains, and be proficient in manual and automated testing of embedded control products. Required skills include familiarity with NI VeriStand, LabVIEW, LABCAR, DSpace, CANape, CANalyzer, and scripting languages such as Python and VBA, as well as communication protocols like CAN, J1939, CCP, and XCP. Strong written and oral communication, experience in international teams, and knowledge of process frameworks (e.g., CMMI) and configuration management tools are also essential.
