The Director of Finance & Accounting will join the Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. team, reporting to the CFO in Sarasota. This senior leader will ensure financial integrity and operational excellence across globally dispersed entities, drive accounting and treasury best practices, and oversee change‑management initiatives.
- Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for all entities.
- Review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting for accuracy and consistency.
- Establish, standardize, and enforce GAAP‑aligned accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Improve close timelines, reconciliation quality, and financial documentation to ensure audit readiness.
- Standardize accounting processes across AP, AR, payroll, job costing, equipment costing, and intercompany accounting.
- Drive ERP optimization (Vista/Trimble), system integration, and workflow automation in partnership with IT and Operations.
- Oversee finance transformation initiatives to support growth and operational complexity.
- Lead change‑management efforts to achieve global adoption of enhanced processes.
- Develop and mentor a globally distributed finance organization, setting performance expectations and development plans.
- Partner with the CFO on finance strategy, accounting governance, and scaling the organization.
- Support post‑acquisition integration and new entity setup from an accounting and controls perspective.
- Create dashboards and KPIs to improve visibility into financial performance and process effectiveness.

15+ years
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active or inactive CPA license.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership in multi‑entity environments.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, GAAP proficiency, and proven success in global team leadership and standardization.
- Experience with ERP systems (Vista/Trimble preferred), advanced Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Preferred: CMA or MAcc, and experience in construction, environmental services, disaster recovery, or infrastructure.
Benefits
The Arabell position is based in either Ceres, FL (Sarasota, 34240) or Minneapolis, MN, with a salary range of $215,000 to $250,000 plus incentives, up to 25% travel, and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching and paid time off.
