The Role

Overview

Support senior planner by creating, monitoring and reporting highway project programmes.

Tasks

-Provide expert advice and support to both clients and internal teams, helping to address queries and maintain high standards of service. -Assist in developing, managing, and updating project programmes, ensuring that schedules and delivery dates are accurate and reflect any changes. -Maximise productivity through efficient resource programming, reviewing works orders for compliance, and seeking innovative ways to reduce wasted time and costs. -Track progress, prepare periodic reports, and analyse data to support informed decision-making and meet client and contract requirements. -Handle works orders, prepare sites for programming, and carry out any additional duties required by the Senior Planner or wider business. -Coordinate resources, including labour, plant, materials, and supply chain, while ensuring compliance with safety, traffic management, and regulatory standards.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of Highways Maintenance contracts & Traffic Management operations -Competent use of IT systems and packages. -Experience of planning and co-ordination -Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel), plus other tools/systems defined by the project or client
