In this role you will keep automation projects moving by partnering with system integrators and manufacturers, supporting data‑center startups, leading startup and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems, and working with automation engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate their solutions on‑site. You will provide clear communication to customers and project teams while following travel rotation schedules that keep you on the road and exposed to new challenges.

• Perform on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks for data‑center startups.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate automation and control systems alongside engineers.
• Communicate progress and updates clearly to customers and project teams.
• Follow travel rotation schedules (e.g., 5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, 14 on‑7 off) and adapt to new project locations.
• Walk long distances across large facilities or job sites.
• Climb ladders, stairs, or work at heights.
• Operate in varied environments (construction sites, outdoor, hot/cold).

Requirements

We are opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that knows your name. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals, but success requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.

We are looking for candidates who love travel, can live within 50 miles of a major airport, own a personal vehicle available within 45 days, and are authorized to work in the U.S. A technical degree or at least three years of hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering is required, along with strong communication, problem‑solving, and adaptability skills.

• Demonstrated passion for travel and willingness to be away from home on rotation.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
• Strong adaptability, grit, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Reside within 50 mi of a major airport (relocation assistance offered).
• Own a personal vehicle usable within 45 days of hire.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Technical degree or ≥3 years hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lb.
• Stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods.
