The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the Maintenance Manager by preserving and enhancing the value of assigned communities. In the manager’s absence, this role assumes full managerial responsibilities, ensuring seamless maintenance operations. The position requires coordination of on‑call emergencies and routine upkeep.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of multifamily maintenance experience or equivalent training. Required certifications include EPA, with CPO preferred, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is also expected.
The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb, and operate power tools and equipment. Work is performed on‑site, often outdoors and in various environments such as confined spaces or heights, requiring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
