We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Privacy Lead reporting to the Executive Manager Privacy. In this role you will influence and uplift privacy practices across nbn, embedding privacy into the design and delivery of products and services. You will advise stakeholders on meeting compliance obligations and managing privacy risks, helping to make privacy a core capability that underpins trust, innovation and customer loyalty.
You will guide business units in integrating privacy into everyday decision‑making and operational processes, and manage incoming privacy request priorities through the platform. Leading initiatives such as developing policies, controls, education programmes and supporting Privacy Awareness Week will strengthen the organisation’s privacy culture. Ensuring compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles and maintaining human oversight where automation is used are also key responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of privacy law and its practical application in complex environments. You bring experience in privacy, compliance or risk management, and are confident balancing regulatory requirements with operational needs. Strong relationship‑building, influence across diverse teams, high emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset are essential.
We champion equal opportunities and provide a dedicated accessibility enquiry line for recruitment adjustments. To apply, submit only your resume; a cover letter or selection criteria is not required. This is a permanent full‑time position and applicants must have full working rights in Australia.
