Tasks

-Perform comprehensive testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC air and hydronic systems in accordance with standards. -Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other technicians. -Stay updated on codes, regulations, and industry best practices. -Verify the functionality of mechanical systems, including VAVs, fans, pumps, and control devices. -Utilize specialized instruments to measure airflow, pressures, temperatures, and velocities. -Compile detailed reports documenting findings, procedures, and recommendations. -Present clear and concise information to clients and project stakeholders. -Accurately record all measurements and observations. -Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies. -Ensure systems operate efficiently and meet design specifications. -Analyze data to assess system performance and identify discrepancies. -Communicate effectively to coordinate project activities and resolve issues.

What You Bring

-Proficient in using TAB instruments and equipment. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. -Current NEBB Certification as a TAB Technician is mandatory. -Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. -Ability and willingness to learn new skills as technology changes. -Minimum of 3 years' experience in HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing. -Proficiency in Excel, Word, PDF editing software (Bluebeam), etc... -Familiarity with building automation systems and controls. -Working knowledge of computers. -Solid understanding of HVAC system components and operation. -Proven track record of successfully completed TAB projects. -Willingness to travel to various job sites as required. This position will require travel throughout southern California. Our primary markets are in San Diego, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles Counties with projects as far away as Idaho on occasion. -Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, to meet project deadlines is mandatory. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
