You’ll work in close partnership with Principals in Charge (PICs), Design Leads and Senior Associates, providing trusted commercial advice across contracts, fees, risk and governance.
- Partnering with project leaders to ensure projects are commercially sound, contractually robust and well governed
- Helping teams navigate complexity and make informed decisions at key moments
- Advising on consultancy contracts, fee structures, variations and risk
- Managing commercial aspects across multiple concurrent projects
- Supporting projects from early pursuit and appointment through to delivery
- Providing clear, pragmatic commercial guidance that supports strong design outcomes

This is a hands-on role for an experienced commercial professional who enjoys being involved early, staying engaged through delivery, and helping project teams make clear, well-judged decisions that protect both design intent and commercial outcomes.
- Strong understanding of consultancy contracts, fees and project risk
- Experience with public sector clients and procurement models
- Proven experience supporting complex architecture or infrastructure projects, ideally including Health, Transport and/or large public or institutional buildings
- Background in an architecture or multidisciplinary design practice
- Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively
- 10+ years’ experience in a commercial, contracts or project commercial role within the built environment
- Comfortable partnering with senior design leaders and influencing decision-making
