Proficiency or willingness to learn process & mechanical piping design (manufacturing processes, material balances, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment arrangements, equipment specifications.
Ability to follow established safety protocol.
Requisite knowledge and application of the International Plumbing Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Fire Code, International Energy Conservation Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, and NFPA.
A minimum of 7+ years of experience in A/E consulting services is preferred.
Understanding of hydraulic fire protection design software.
Ability to recognize and research local and state-specific codes.
Experience with production of construction drawings and specifications.
FPE, PE, or NICET Level III Certification for fire protection system design is preferred.
Hands-on project coordination experience.
Comprehends basic construction methodology.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
