Contract Management Specialist

This role is responsible for supporting project teams across business units by assisting with the planning, development, and administration of contracts involving construction field labor, from conceptual planning through project closeout.

• Assist with the identification, pre-qualification, and vetting of contractors
• Support feedback meetings with unsuccessful bidders, including agenda, transcripts, and follow-up
• Administer the questions-and-answers process during the bid period
• Prepare bid analysis documents and support proposal reviews and contract awards
• Support contract strategy development during project planning phases
• Compile and recommend bidders list and coordinate approval
• Draft and facilitate the development of inquiry documents, including Special Conditions, Proposal Forms, Pricing Sheets, Scope of Work, and related attachments
• Provide contract administration support for project teams, including change order and claims resolution
• Focus on delivering superior value to customers
• Lead call-back meetings with responsibility for agenda, transcripts, and follow-up
• Oversee contract document review and conformance prior to execution
• Partner with Supply Chain Management to conduct pre-bid meetings, including developing presentations, agendas, and follow-up documentation
• Produce award recommendations and coordinate approval routing
• Coordinate overall assembly and final review of inquiry packages prior to release

Behavioral Attributes

• Experience with large and complex construction projects required, with emphasis on heavy industrial construction strongly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts and labor agreements preferred
• Familiarity with project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, EPC, etc.) and contract pricing methods (Firm Fixed Price, Unit Price, T&M, etc.) preferred
• Ability to collaborate with project teams, supply chain, contractors, designers, and vendors
• Experience developing construction contract packages and evaluating proposals preferred
• This role requires approximately 25% travel annually
• Strong team collaboration and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customer leadership
• Experience leading projects involving cross-functional teams preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly SharePoint and Teams
• Accredited degree or global equivalent in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, Business, or Law preferred
• Background in construction contract management and/or subcontract administration required

• Travel may include some overnight stays within the regional operating territory
