The Role
Overview
Oversee daily shop operations, inventory, safety, and team supervision.

Tasks
-Provides monthly updates on equipment or materials that are no longer safe or suitable for use. -Maintains a clean, organized shop environment. -Manages inventory control systems, conducts regular cycle counts, and maintains accurate inventory records. -Supervises shop, providing daily direction, support, and performance feedback. -Requests and tracks inventory needs through the Production Manager, ensuring optimal stock levels. -Ensures compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures. -Assists with sign shop duties or other operational needs as required. -Identifies and corrects unsafe practices or conditions, exercising Stop Work Authority when necessary. -Conducts or coordinates daily safety meetings and job briefings as needed. -Promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among the shop team. -Assists with asset management and equipment tracking.

What You Bring
-Valid driver’s license required. -Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, yard, or shop environment; prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. -Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. -High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred. -Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Skilled in the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. -Must meet company driving standards, including passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. -Certified forklift operator preferred (must obtain certification if not current). -Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds safely and repeatedly. -Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Proficient in basic carpentry and use of hand and power tools.
