- Mentor and develop staff, provides leadership in an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative, and growth.
- Lead project outreach activities including guiding the direction of stakeholder and public engagement, giving presentations, meeting with stakeholders, community members, businesses, and organizations to explain the project scope, impacts, benefits, mitigations, etc.
- Support large, complex, and multi-disciplinary transportation planning tasks.
- Perform project management duties such as managing large tasks and projects, performing research, report writing, leading stakeholder or public involvement meetings and maintaining client relations in support of road safety projects.
- Develop schedules, review invoices, manage progress reports, prepare scopes, and track budgets.
- Collaborate with agencies and municipal clients on complex planning and project delivery challenges.
- Conduct public presentations including stakeholder meetings, community meetings, board meetings, and city council meetings.

- AICP accreditation, or P.E. license
- Experience in transportation planning project work such as safety analysis, complete streets, pedestrian and bicycle planning
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field
- Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and project managers
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Experience with evaluating causal issues related to fatal and serious injury crashes and the selection and implementation of safety countermeasures for Engineers, Law Enforcement, Educators, and Emergency Response
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with stakeholder outreach, community engagement, planning annual events/conferences, coordinating logistics for stakeholder meetings, providing presentations to public officials and communication with a variety of individuals
- Strong knowledge of planning principles related to transportation
- 10+ years of transportation planning experience
