

Acquires, develops and manages student housing communities across the U.S.
The Regional Manager will oversee a portfolio of approximately 4,000 beds across multiple Class A student‑housing markets. This role drives performance in competitive leasing environments, mentors Community Managers, and helps shape the future growth of the organization.
In the Leadership & People Development area, the manager demonstrates the highest standards of integrity, adheres to policies, and complies with laws. They continuously develop Community Managers through feedback, training, coaching, daily direction, scheduling, evaluations, hiring, and salary administration, while serving as a visible, hands‑on leader and sounding board.
Operational & Financial Oversight includes working with the Director of Operations to implement corporate directives, reviewing monthly budget variance reports, and addressing escalated issues. The manager reviews and approves invoices, vendor bids, and contracts over $1,000, recommends large expense items, coordinates capital expenditures, and monitors maintenance operations for efficiency, customer service, curb appeal, and budget compliance.
Leasing, Marketing & Market Engagement responsibilities involve guiding Community Managers on leasing and marketing, conducting bi‑weekly strategy meetings, and leading initiatives to maintain occupancy in highly competitive Class A markets. The manager stays current on market conditions through research, competitor site visits, and regular meetings with universities.
Property Oversight requires regular property inspections, coordination with Community Managers to ensure compliance, performance, and resident satisfaction, and handling other duties as assigned. The Regional Manager directly supervises Community Managers.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of two years as a Regional Manager in off‑campus student housing, and five to ten years of community‑management experience in the student‑housing sector. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Entrata are preferred, and keyboarding proficiency is required.
The role demands consistent day and overnight travel (approximately 70% of the time) and frequent extended trips of three nights or more (20–50%). Nighttime and weekend accessibility via cell phone and computer is required, along with the ability to see documents up close, communicate verbally, and operate a computer keyboard.
