The Team Lead provides manufacturing expertise, support, and direction in the assigned area, assisting the Supervisor in coordinating, facilitating, and motivating employees to meet or exceed High‑5 metrics (safety, quality, delivery, cost, lean initiatives, and efficiency). The role models safety, ethical standards, attendance, urgency, team philosophy, initiative, quality assurance, standard work, 5S, product knowledge, communication, and professional presence.
- Ensure compliance with Eaton MESH initiatives and safety procedures (eye, hearing, machine guards, ergonomics, lockout/tagout, MSDS, OSHA).
- Meet departmental safety goals and maintain a clean, organized 5S work area.
- Receive and prioritize work assignments, communicating daily production goals to the team.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team to fulfill customer orders promptly, prioritizing urgent orders.
- Guide and support the team on production, safety, and quality objectives.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and skill development for individuals, teams, and product groups.
- Monitor product quality, clarify standards, and promote quality objectives.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement activities such as 5S and Kaizen events.
- Attend accountability and production meetings regularly.
- Measure and communicate team and individual performance, contributing to process and skill evaluations.
- Perform data entry and automated posting using computer‑based business systems.
- Collect and analyze production data (cycle time, green light time, output, material utilization) to understand quality and productivity metrics.
- Pursue self‑development through coursework, certifications, and additional training.

- 2‑5 years leadership experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Experience leading projects, root‑cause analysis, and problem resolution preferred.
- Basic electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and assembly terminology preferred.
- Ability to read and apply operating instructions, wiring schematics, blueprints, and GD&T preferred.
Benefits
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Team Lead Wiring – 1st Shift. Core hours are Monday‑Friday from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, with an hourly rate of $23.92 plus eligibility for a variable incentive program. Salary is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
