Description

The HVAC Teardown (I) position at the Lennox AES facility in Wheeling, WV focuses on the safe and efficient recovery and reclamation of HVAC system parts. The role supports environmental sustainability by handling, recycling, and disposing of components in compliance with industry regulations. Employees in this role must adhere to safety and environmental standards while contributing to the overall efficiency of the reclaim process.

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery.
• Handle and sort materials through the reclaim process.
• Identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities.
• Cross‑train and assist in other areas depending on workload.
• Use hand and power tools, including metal cutting saws.
• Handle and sort different materials.

Requirements

• Stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil.
• Lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
• Exhibit attention to detail and produce high‑quality work.
• Previous manufacturing or construction experience.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and their environmental impact (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Benefits

Compensation for this non‑exempt hourly role starts at $18.00 per hour, with overtime eligibility as required by law or after 40 hours per week.
