  • Troubleshoot and optimize Layer 2/3 network configurations, including VLANs, routing (static, OSPF, BGP), and IP address planning.
  • Partner with telecom vendors and internal stakeholders for voice/circuit troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Provide Tier 2 IT support for end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and AV systems).
  • Assist in managing the Microsoft Teams Phone Calling environment (call queues, auto attendants, device provisioning).
  • Assist with new jobsite or office deployments, including network equipment setup, testing, and documentation.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation on infrastructure and user support processes.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 support staff and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Administer VoIP infrastructure including SIP trunks, call routing, QoS, and endpoint troubleshooting.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN environments, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Support employee onboarding/offboarding: device setup, peripheral configuration, and account provisioning.
  • Plan and execute network changes during scheduled maintenance windows, including hardware upgrades and configuration changes.

KAI Enterprises is seeking a Network Support Admin with a solid foundation in network administration and VoIP/SIP technologies, paired with the ability to manage escalated end-user support and site IT setup. This hybrid role supports both tactical day-to-day operations and strategic infrastructure growth. You will be actively involved in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the enterprise network and voice systems across our office and project locations.

  • Security tools administration (MFA, antivirus, phishing simulation platforms).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Phone administration.
  • Strong documentation and process development skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in hybrid cloud/on-prem network environments (Azure/AWS).
  • Familiarity with Autodesk, Adobe, Bluebeam, or other AEC specific products.
  • Familiarity with Digital Signage Software.
  • Direct experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, NMAP, traceroute).
  • Experience with patch management solutions (Intune, JAMF, Mosyle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS networking concepts (virtual networks, VPN gateways).
  • Solid understanding of VoIP technologies, including SIP signaling, call flow analysis, QoS, and basic PSTN integration.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate across IT roles and work with external vendors, construction teams, and remote staff.
  • Experience leading or participating in VoIP or PBX migration projects.
  • Exposure to Windows Server or Linux system administration, including user roles and permissions.
  • Familiarity with Sophos.
  • Knowledge of VMWare or other virtualization platforms.
  • 4+ years in network administration or a hybrid network/support role.
  • Ability to manage hardware inventory and coordinate deployments in collaboration with other IT staff.
  • Enthusiastic about improving systems and proactively suggesting technical or procedural enhancements.
  • Experience with enterprise networking: switch configuration, VLANs, Layer 2/3 routing, and firewall policies.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic improvements with day-to-day operational demands.
  • Proficient in Office 365 administration, Active Directory, and basic identity management.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to occasionally travel to job sites.
  • Certification(s): CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft 365 certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Logitech, Crestron, or similar conference room systems for resets and escalation to our Crestron A/V providers.
Benefits

This is a hybrid position based in our Irving, TX office, with limited travel to job sites and remote offices. Employees are expected to be on-site from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely in accordance with company policy.
